I’m Kevin Roy, and since late 2005, I have been consumed with creating a business based on being able to live my ideal lifestyle. Leaving a lasting legacy on the World is about living every minute to the fullest doing that which you’re innately suited for and never compromising on your dreams.
So how does that bring us to where I am today?
I had this idea…
I wanted to get paid to come up with really cool ideas, travel the world, and pretty much do whatever I wanted.
There was only one problem…
How was I going to do it? Nobody, I knew was doing anything like it. Most of the people I hung out with thought my ideas were interesting, but none of them really thought I I could pull it off, or they were just too comfortable settling for what they thought they deserved.
None of them had the kind of grandiose ideas that get me totally excited…
The thing about that is, I despise the idea of being mediocre and I have zero desire to settle for anything less than what I want out of life (amazing relationships with my family; a business that I’m proud of which helps people; having a lasting positive impact on the World and being able to make my own decisions about what’s normal for me. Private island and seaplane to be included at a future date).
So, that’s when I decided to create Eccentrepreneur, Inc. Legacy Advisor is the high end private consulting component of the business. It’s for the discerning client with a net worth generally over $3 million who knows that he or she is not really making the kind of impact that he or she wants to on the World. My Legacy clients have family who loves them, they have charitable aspirations and they enjoy life, but something’s still missing. Maybe, they’re searching for more leisure time, maybe they are stuck at a business plateu and can’t seem to break free or maybe they ‘re just looking for a way to start a business that’s completely fulfilling and more in line with what they want their legacy to be: whatever the case may be, they understand that relationships and time are our most valuable assets.
